Discounts abound at Oldtown?s new Dollar Tree location

By JUDD WILSON Staff writer OLDTOWN ? It?s here. Dollar Tree has opened an Oldtown location, and customers couldn?t be happier. A full parking lot, busy checkout counters, and a well-stocked, clean store are the evidence of a thriving new business along the Idaho-Washington state line. Store manager Rhi Moss has been with the company for eight years at other locations. She spoke highly of Dollar Tree for its policies to never raise prices, its checkout-based system that automatically replenishes purchased goods, and its variety of products from frozen and refrigerated foods to auto products and greeting cards. The Newport-area native is joined in the management team by assistant manager Ivan Poisel, who also hails from Newport. He said that since the store?s opening day on July 27, customer demand for Dollar Tree products has been strong. ?The community seems to love us,?
